Our Mission
To work in coordination with territorial organizational processes associated with women heads of household or in vulnerable situations in search of economic autonomy and financial freedom, through the production of alternative agricultural and livestock crops, building and strengthening the social fabric and achieving the transformation of rural communities under 6 pillars such as education, health, certification of knowledge, decent housing, land legalization and cultural identity.
History of ASOMUJERES JIREH
Founded in 2024 in El Estrecho, Patía, ASOMUJERES JIREH unites women heads of household seeking economic autonomy and financial freedom through agricultural and livestock production.
Emerging from community meetings, and supported by various organizations including the UN and former combatants, our association promotes social cohesion, education, and health.
Key Achievements
Sustainable Enterprise
Secured a 10-year lease on a 1-hectare property, utilizing 300 Waterboxxes to support approximately 50 people in the community.
SENA Certification
Completed comprehensive training programs focused on certification in fruit and vegetable processing, and entrepreneurial skills.
Natural Products
Developing natural health and wellness products based on ancestral knowledge, including natural keratin and medicinal syrups.
Productive Unit 'Cholado'
Created a value-added proposal transforming passion fruit into 'Cholados' and granitas to extend shelf life and guarantee financial autonomy.
