History of ASOVIENTO LIBRE
Founded in 2013 in Taminango, Nariño, ASOVIENTO LIBRE is a non-profit organization empowering victims of armed conflict and single mothers, who make up over 80% of our community.
With extensive agricultural experience across different thermal zones, our focus is on food security, environmental preservation, and the sustainable management of natural resources.
Key Achievements
Circular Economy Model
Pioneered a new sustainability model by leasing 1,300 Waterboxx units from the AMURACI network, fostering inter-regional cooperation.
Regenerative Hub
Hosted the Gran Vía Verde 2025 Master Conference, building water infiltration trenches and implementing bokashi and vermiculture.
Water Infrastructure
Constructed two collection centers with storage tanks and rainwater supply systems across 2.5 hectares to combat severe water scarcity.
Food Security & Income
Harvested 4,639 kg of passion fruit in 8 months, strategically allocating 10% for immediate food security and the rest for commercialization.
